About the Role

AIM Arts Academy is our provision for 16-19 year olds who are not in other education or employment. Through their engagement with a mix of creative skills, as well as maths, English and ICT, when needed, alongside individual mentoring, we look to enable young people to flourish and succeed.

We are looking to employ a Qualified SEN 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant to join our Student Support team to enhance the support available to young people.

The role requires experience of 1 to 1 work both within the classroom and outside of lessons for young people with SEN. Outside of the time supporting an individual, the role will join with the main Student Support team in providing more general support and mentoring to students.

  • To contact young people or their emergency contact number 10 minutes after their scheduled time of attending if not present for AIM Arts Academy lessons.

  • To update student records on interactions with young people and send emails to relevant staff members to make them aware of any needs or events.
