About the Role

AIM Arts Academy is our provision for 16-19 year olds who are not in other education or employment. Through their engagement with a mix of creative skills, as well as maths, English and ICT, when needed, alongside individual mentoring, we look to enable young people to flourish and succeed.


The Music Practitioner Teacher requires the post-holder to hold either a Teaching Qualification or an AET (Award in Education & Training).





ABOUT THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Delivery of AIM Arts Academy MUSIC PRACTITIONER (MUSPRA) Rockschool RSL course at Level 2 & 3,both in class and via remote learning as required

  2. To maintain individual student records via NINOX

  3. Compiling up to date reports on student’s progress

  4. To prepare and present regular student evaluation reports

  5. Assessing and marking assignments to a deadline

  6. Registering students and delivering all units required

  7. Providing appropriate and effective information, advice and guidance

  8. To achieve and maintain own personal development

  9. Develop and produce suitable learning materials/activities for students

  10. Working within safeguarding and health and safety guidelines

  11. Keep track of student attendance via NINOX

  12. Carry out Teacher/Student and Parent/Carer mtgs

  13. Receiving support and discussing ideas in individual supervision

  14. Attending staff meetings and sharing good practice within AIMCommunity

  15. Attending meetings and case conferences to share ideas, expertise and good practice

  16. Undertaking administrative tasks, verifying information and responding to queries relating to the students and course

  17. Supporting the wider creative arts provision from AIMCommunity

  18. Keeping up to date with continuing professional development (CPD) by attending seminars, lectures, and workshops

  19. Reporting back to AAA Programme Coordinator
